Italian students’ reflection about Lithuania mobility

A report written by the Italian ERASMUS+ students: CAPUTO MICHELE- DE PASCA MATTEO-EQUESTRE GENNARO- REGGI FRANCESCO.

Our experience in Lithuania was really exciting. We had the opportunity to see a Country so different from our own. We really appreciated its buildings, its peaceful countryside and all the activities carried out, having fun and getting to know several students, host families, tourist guides and teachers.

From a cultural point of view, we were impressed by their school history and class organization. Their basketball museum, where we had a very friendly guide who was so funny. We even knew that Lithuanians consider basketball their “second religion”. Being their true religion the Catholic one.

We had also the possibility to visit Vilnius, the capital city, where we were particularly impressed by the castle on the hill. What we found really amazing was the breath-taking view we could enjoy from that point of view.

Another special opportunity was offered us during the trip to the swamp. It was really amazing! A magnificent landscape rich in different types of plants. A long walking in the forest. A way to keep fit by walking around the swamp for 7 kilometres, admiring the landscape and learning new thinks at the same time.

We had also the chance to try a typical Lithuanian dish ‘dumpling’ that we liked a lot! Last but not least, we went to Latvia and visited Riga, enjoyed its history seen through Mrs Dahlia’s eyes!
